Job Description
Green Rabbit (Recently Acquired by Vistar, a Performance Food Group Company) is the leading e-commerce cold chain logistics provider to the food industry and provides food-grade, safe, temperature-controlled warehouses for its clients. We are seeking a FULL-TIME Reach Truck Forklift Operator and Production Support to join our Replenishment Team. Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm
Starting Pay: $19/hour
Job Duties:
This position involves operating reach trucks to move products or materials to designated areas, either for storage or shipment preparation. By maintaining safety and accuracy, the operator contributes significantly to the smooth running of the supply chain, ensuring that inventory is placed or retrieved in a timely manner. The role requires a blend of skillful maneuvering, adherence to safety protocols, and an understanding of warehouse logistics, all aimed at optimizing space utilization and minimizing handling time. Through their efforts, Reach Truck Operators support the overall productivity and efficiency of the warehouse, making them an integral part of the logistics team.
Reach Truck Operator Job Duties
  • Operate reach truck equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in a safe and efficient manner within a warehouse environment.
  • Perform routine pre-inspection and post-inspection maintenance checks on reach truck equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Accurately pick orders and prepare them for shipping, ensuring the correct items and quantities are selected.
  • Place incoming merchandise in the appropriate storage areas, utilizing the reach truck's lifting capabilities to maximize space utilization.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and practices within the warehouse to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to plan and organize the layout of storage areas, optimizing space and accessibility for reach truck operations.
  • Respond to and report any incidents or malfunctions of the reach truck equipment to management immediately.
  • Participate in inventory counts and audits as required, using the reach truck to access and verify stock levels in high shelving units.

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
1 year of warehouse and distribution work experience
1 + years of forklift experience operating a stand-up Reach Truck
Must be able to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position.
Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location, throughout shift
Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e., cooler, freezer, and dry
Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent 1+ years of warehouse and distribution work experience using a motorized pallet jack or forklift
2 + years of food service distribution or related industry experience
2 + years of Forklift certification and at least one year of experience operating a standup reach truck.
