Position Summary:
Responsible for driving the strategic marketing vision, enhancing brand growth and engagement across PFG enterprises Performance Foodservice, Core-Mark, and Vistar to grow PFG Brands Cases. Leads the development and implementation of comprehensive brand strategies that enhance the company's market position and drives growth and market share. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to create and execute impactful brand marketing campaigns.
Conceptualizes all national promotions for growth in sales as well as directs Marketing personnel. Negotiates advertising and media contracts and determines budgets and expenses control for all major marketing functions.
Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Develop Brand strategies that will resonate with our target customers, predicting customer behavior, and conducting surveys or trial studies to research new messaging strategies.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Brand budgets as well as setting goals for their team.
  • Develop and manage brand guidelines to ensure consistent brand representation across all marketing and communication materials within all PFG segments
  • Develop annual customer loyalty program, which includes development of the concept, negotiate with suppliers on programs, communicate to internal and external customers, and creation of the brochures.
  • Responsible for ensuring the proper Legal process regarding logos, trademarks, registration and all necessary compliance measures are taken to protect our new and existing Brands.
  • Responsible for achieving Annual Brand Growth targets across the Enterprise.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelors - Marketing, business or related area
Required Experience: 10 years marketing experience, brand development, and public relations
Supervisory/Management experience
Experience includes a steady progression of leadership roles in sales, marketing, consumer packaged goods, and/or product innovation
Proven track record of driving growth and profitability
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans in a competitive marketplace
Company experience to include multi-segments
Exceptional business acumen with attention to detail and analytical skills to interpret and evaluate data
Outstanding communication skills to interface with senior leadership and external partners
Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Education: Masters/MBA - Marketing, business or related area
Preferred Experience: 10+ years marketing experience, brand development, and public relations within foodservice industry
Preference for Richmond, VA based candidates
