Job Summary:
Responsible for operating forklift in warehouse observing all safety regulations and ensuring all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Schedules and confirms all receiving and shipping for site. Provides administrative support for this area including the communication, paperwork and system data entry. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Operate a stand-up forklift as needed by the night shift operation.
  • Schedules and confirms all shipping for site.
  • Read and interpret a lot of information quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Provides administrative support for this area including the communication, paperwork and system data entry.
  • May move and prep trailers for loading and shipping.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
1+ years of Food Service warehouse experience required
Must have experience operating electric pallet jacks and stand-up forklifts
Strong MS Office skills (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook)
Warehouse Management System experience
Ability to maintain/update Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
Ability to communicate effectively and apply general math skills
Ability to work reliably and independently from verbal and written instructions.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
Physical ability to regularly lift, carry, and position: up to 10 lbs. regularly, up to 25 lbs. frequently, and up to 60 lbs. occasionally.
Physical ability to handle objects, tools, and/or controls.
Physical ability to stand for a significant period of time and walk continuously.
Physical ability to occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, or crawl.
May require the ability to operate and/or be certified on various powered equipment.
Ability to work in a warehouse environment which will expose the incumbent to a variety of noise and potential extremes in temperature.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years foodservice distribution industry experience
Onboard computer and electronic log system experience (i.e., PeopleNet)
Hand-held point of delivery scanning system experience (i.e., POD)
Customer service-related work experience
LTL Freight, Hotshot, third party carrier coordination
