Responsible for procurement and data management. Supporting the Category Managers with data integrity in addition to supporting and managing the procurement team. Responsible for negotiating terms, spoils, costing, logistics, and supplier minimums. In addition, develop a process improvement solution with the objective to reducing working capital, validation of data and price changes. Focus on reducing product acquisition costs; enlists and qualifies various manages to maximize opportunistic buying due to pricing action with suppliers. Overall goal is to maintain an elevated level of service for our customers, increase turns, minimize inventory obsolete, decrease minimum requirements, as well as focus around data integrity on price changes and item set up. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.Supervises associates to include but not limited to: Staffing, Training, Coaching, Performance management and problem resolutionMaintain and exceed fill rate requirements in additional to inventory management, costing resolution, supplier credits and increase turns to maximize working capitalOversee and validate the accuracy of system cost, UOM ( unit of measure), and data integrity to prevent margin losses.Assist Category managers in supplier discussions and negotiations regarding price changesResponsible for working with field OpCo management to communication and inform activities around data integrityManage and maintain accuracy of data related to items, suppliers and costingAnalyze buying brackets to better understand the cost to serve and maximize the most efficient buying patternsWork with NAM's and Sr. leadership team to support and execute projects related to procurement and data integrityPerforms other related duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Associates/2-year technical degree5 7 Years of purchasing/procurement experience. Supervisory or management experience.Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree5 7 Years of purchasing/procurement experience including in depth knowledge and understanding of integrated systems within the foodservice industry. Management experience.Visit www.pfgc.com
