Position Details:
  • Pay is $15 an hour
  • Schedule is from 3pm - 11pm
Position Purpose:
Responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, personnel, customers, vendors and all visitors. Protect property from theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire and accidents, investigates and writes reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards and other security related situations using independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures. Completely secures work site by checking doors, lights and ground area on a daily basis. Thoroughly completes report of daily rounds and other duties as needed. Work is performed inside and outside the property with exposure to inclement weather and unpredictable crisis situations. Shift work required. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Protect property from theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire and accidents, investigates and writes reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards and other security related situations using independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.
  • Implement and enforce security procedures.
  • Performs security patrols; completely secures work site by checking doors, lights and ground area on a daily basis. Thoroughly completes report of daily rounds and other duties as needed.
  • Provide any needed assistance to customers, vendors, associates and visitors with the department's procedures.
  • Understand and follow standard operating security procedures.
  • Serve as training officer to new or back-up security staff.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with staff and the public; perform duties in a professional manner and appearance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Must have at least 3+ months security guard or relevant experience
Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position
Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e. hot, cold and rain
Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift
