Our warehouses are the heartbeat of our company. They ensure products are received from suppliers, stored correctly, and distributed to our customers accurately and on time. Each warehouse is designed to store dry, refrigerated, and frozen food and food-related products. Receivers, selectors, lift truck operators, food safety experts, and others leverage technology and work together to ensure products are received, selected, and loaded onto trailers for delivery to our customers.
Our Class A CDL drivers – the faces of our company – deliver food and food-related products to restaurants, schools, hospitals, and more across the country. Our drivers adhere to strict safety standards designed to keep everyone safe and healthy, while on the road and unloading product for our customers.
Our sales associates are trusted business advisors to the customers we serve. They provide advice on improving operations, menu development, product selection, and operational strategies. Our sales associates often interact with customers daily, helping to facilitate orders, monitor deliveries, and answer questions.
There are numerous roles throughout each of our locations that appeal to just about any career path. We don’t do this for the glory, no one says give my compliments to the food delivery driver. But without our daily consistent work, no one would be giving compliments at all.

The ones whose hands and fingers are speckled with little burns from the fryer, the ones who know their own customers as well as we know ours and love them just as much.

Kevin Holbrook, a Quality Control Manager at Performance Foodservice – Springfield, started with us part-time over 18 years ago. He progressed through many roles such as Order Selector, Nightshift Supervisor, Dayshift Supervisor and Warehouse Manager before being promoted to his current role.
At each and every position or new challenge…someone in management encouraged me to take the opportunity and felt I had the talent or skills to excel at that new role.
