Job Description
Job Summary:
This position interacts with the Controller, other accounting department personnel, and all AFFLINK associates. Performs accounting functions including account reconciliations, journal entries, bank reconciliation, sales tax, and billing.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Prepares journal entries as deemed necessary in the accounts for which responsibility has been delegated.
  • Records revenue for the departments for which responsibility is delegated per accounting standards.
  • Provides daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Prepares historical analysis and reports to management as needed or required.
  • Reconciles daily deposits to bank records.
  • Prepares registrations as needed and monthly filings for sales tax. Performs tax research as needed.
  • Reconciles and balances accounts for which responsibility has been delegated..
  • Maintains general ledger and other bank account reconciliation.
Performs additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or other AFFLINK management.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field
2-4 years of experience in general ledger accounting
4-6 years business experience
Thorough understanding and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Demonstrated oral/written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills
Demonstrated computer and analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze financial information
General ledger accounting system experience
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects/tasks in a changing environment
Self-motivated with ability to work under and meet strict deadlines individually as well as in a team environment
Knowledge and understanding of internal control environment
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a working knowledge of Microsoft Access
Ability to work flexible hours as required
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in accounting or related field from a four year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two (2) to Four (4) years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Public accounting experience is a plus
Be aware of SOX requirements and maintain compliance with key
controls related to accounting duties
Participation in process improvement initiatives
