Job Description
Performance Food Group has an internship opportunity affording exposure and opportunities to gain experience in Logistics / Supply Chain Management in the foodservice industry. The intern will learn the methods to establishing an effective carrier base to service PFG operating companies. As a part of their training, they will interact with team members to understand the analytics and decision-making process to improve the logistics program. The intern will help support the logistics team with vendor maintenance, supplier conversions, freight analysis and market updates to the team. The intern will participate in daily, weekly teams call and during these calls they will provide an update on current activities. This may also provide the opportunity to partner with other business functions such as Procurement, Operations, Quality Assurance and Finance.
The internship will begin in June 2025 and end in August 2025. This position will be in our PFG Customized office in Lebanon, TN with the PFG Corporate logistics team.
Required Qualifications
- Junior or senior majoring in Supply Chain Management/ Business or other related field.
- 3.0 GPA
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products
- Ability to manage large data sets
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills which are essential for interacting with all levels of the organization.
- Strong customer service skills and business acumen
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
