Position Summary:
The Inventory Manager is responsible for leading and managing driver check in, cycle counting, inventory shrink mitigation & reporting, and inventory issues and resolutions processes for the foodservice distribution facility. The position champions facility-wide service excellence program, owns investigations and dispositions of inventory-related issues, and reporting, analysis, and recommendations (corrective and preventive actions) for operational improvement.
Duties:
  • Leads inventory department of six (6), including staffing, coaching/developing, performance management, support, and training.
  • Champions Service Excellence program through daily reporting, cross-functional collaboration, analysis of data, and corrective/preventive measure recommendations and implementation
  • Verifies and validates critical inventory elements, including cycle counts, daily out of stocks, expiring items, item rotation and movement, items to scrap/donate/liquidate, etc.
  • Provides oversight of request for adjustment process (customer credit and item disposition process)
  • Collaborates and aligns with all key stakeholders including Warehouse, Transportation, Purchasing, and Sales to identify solutions and opportunities for process and operational improvement
  • Gathers and analyses key data and metrics to identify areas of opportunity, including reviewing by item, category, customer, credit, date, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
3+ years warehouse/distribution or related experience
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years supervisory experience
1+ years inventory experience
