A team of sales reps, chefs, consultants and other experts builds close relationships with each customer, providing advice on improving operations, menu development, product selection and operational strategies. Job Description- Acts as a central point of contact (Ambassador) for Operating Companies for all internal sales inquiries related to product information, specifications, availability, delivery schedules, and substitutions.
- Escalates and resolves internal and external questions from sales team in a timely manner, typically by phone, email, text or other necessary means either by determining answer on own or through elevating to appropriate Buyer(s), Broker/Vendors(s), or Category Manager, as necessary.
- Becomes subject matter expert on company systems.
- Acts as primary contact for sales team and Procurement departments - The Face of Purchasing.
- Responds to sales team's questions as needed, regarding pricing, demand changes, quality issues, out of stock, and inventory questions.
- Attach proprietary items/accounts, non-stock pricing, product & assortment, inquiries, product quality complaints, sourcing requests, bill vendors expense related, vendor broker inquiries.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required QualificationsThree years customer service experience.
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills and solid problem resolution ability required.
Candidate must have a solid customer service orientation, with ability to professionally and effectively influence/persuade customers to purchase products.
Able to process multiple issues simultaneously, driving them to successful resolution.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required.
Preferred QualificationsFood service distribution experience preferred.
Previous Sales or Purchasing experience preferred.
