- Shift: Sunday - Thursday / 8:00AM - 5:00PM.
- Pay: Up to $23 per hour depending on experience.
Position Purpose:As a Transportation Coordinator, you will perform function daily in the planning, routing, and assigning of equipment and personnel. Functions such as planning and staffing to ensure all trucks are dispatched on time, and to ensure DOT files are maintained with 100% compliance. Oversee Computer Room, Order Edits, and other functions related to Transportation, Warehouse, and Corporate IT teams.
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:- Back Up Router proficient in the use of Roadnet Routing Software.
- Serve as a backup dispatcher, coordinating driver assignments and schedules as needed.
- Perform Order Edits for customers daily.
- Oversee Tote Billing and Tote Billing process for all customers.
- Cover trips with driver call outs due to vacation, illness, and other various reasons.
- Review and process paperwork for drivers.
- Prepare and update a daily schedule of routes and dispatch sheet for Warehouse and Transportation Depts.
- Coordinate with transportation and warehouse personnel on solutions for over cubed routes.
- Provide support to drivers regarding routes, schedules, and any issues that may arise.
- Work with Drivers and Mgmt. Team in ensuring Samsara Camera System is operating at 100%.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the duties of DOT employment verifications and update DOT files. Maintain 100% monthly compliance.
- Aid with data entry in the absence of the transportation clerk.
- Help provide training and coaching to team members as needed.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform these and other duties as directed in a safe and efficient manner.
Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
1- 2 years in a transportation environment.
Administrative support performing basic math and computer data entry skills Knowledge and understanding of Department of Transportation regulations.
Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
Preferred QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
2 + years in transportation environment and interfacing with customers within foodservice industry.
