Position Purpose:
The OpCo Sales Intern will support the sales and account management teams within a fast-paced distribution environment. This role provides hands-on experience in customer relationship management, sales operations, product knowledge, pricing strategy, and cross-functional collaboration with warehouse, transportation, and supply chain teams. The ideal candidate is proactive, curious, and eager to learn how sales drives business success in a distribution setting.
This internship is designed for students looking to build foundational skills in sales, business development, and customer management within the dynamic world of convenience distribution. Individuals who are enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and eager to engage with customers are encouraged to apply.

Primary Responsibilities
Sales Support & Customer Engagement
  • Assist sales representatives with customer outreach, follow-ups, and lead qualification.
  • Help prepare sales presentations, quotes, proposals, and bid packages.
  • Participate in customer meetings, calls, or virtual demos to observe the sales process.
  • Support the sales team in managing orders, resolving service issues, and maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in monitoring customer order patterns and identifying opportunities to upsell or improve service levels.
  • Sales Operations & Analytics
  • Analyze sales data to track trends, product performance, and customer buying behavior.
  • Help create weekly and monthly sales reports, dashboards, or KPI summaries.
  • Conduct competitive and market research to support territory or strategic account planning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with distribution, warehouse, and transportation teams to understand product availability, order timelines, and logistics constraints.
  • Collaborate with marketing to support promotional campaigns and new product launches.
  • Learn how sales integrates with supply chain operations to deliver exceptional customer service.
Internship Program Dates: 8 weeks; June 1, 2026 - July 24, 2026
Starting Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, normal business hours. Requirement to work in-office 5 days per week.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Communications, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Reliable vehicle with current auto insurance and must be able to travel to customer locations
• Driver's license with clear driving record
• Frequent Activity- Will lift products weighing from 5-25 lbs. This is done throughout the day. May also lift a case of product or tote which could weigh up to 70 lbs.
