Job Description
Oversees the financial function of the company. Performs, supervises, manages and directs financial management activities. Defines problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interprets an extensive variety of financial data, technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and with abstract and concrete variables. Interacts with business unit associates, customers, suppliers, service providers, and other industry professionals. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Job Functions
•Supervises associates to include, but not limited to: staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution. Ensure duties are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Participates in formulating and administering company policies and strategic planning. Prepares and executes financial plans, as reviewed by Company executives.
• Oversees all accounting/finance functions for local Operating Company and manages multiple departments using independent judgment and discretion. Directs and coordinates activities of each department for which responsibility is delegated to further attain goals and objectives. (Departments include Accounting, Credit, Pricing/Margin, IT, and Inventory Control.)
• Directs activities as custodian of funds, securities, and assets of the organization. Directs and analyzes studies of general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the organization's policies and operations, while representing the company in banking/financial relations.
• Creates and reviews analysis of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine department progress toward stated goals and objectives as pertaining to the Profit and Loss (P&L) / balance sheet statements. Reviews financial data for accuracy and resolves discrepancies, including end of year audit.
• Prepares monthly forecasts and the annual budget, working with senior leadership team on targets while using multiple platforms to gather information; measures company performance against benchmarks.
• Enforces financial discipline/guidelines and controls. Oversees processes and audit compliance.
• Proactively develops and maintains effective reporting and management processes to identify, measure, and drive business decisions from key financial information while safeguarding resources. Direct and implement advanced systems, policies and procedures related to the organization's fiscal function and performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5-7 years work experience in Accounting or Finance
• Controller or equivalent position
• Knowledge and understanding of GAAP
• Audit and Compliance
• Strong team management, analytical and communication skills
• Experience and knowledge of processes associated with Credit, Pricing, and Inventory Control
• Forecasting and Budgeting experience
• Must be able to juggle multiple priorities
• Proficient in SAP, AS400
• Advanced skills with Excel and experience with Power BI, Sharepoint

Preferred qualifications:

• 7-10 years work experience in Accounting or Finance
• Experience with Senior Leadership and cross-functional teams
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
