Position Purpose:
Performs quality inspections of products, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with company procedures, GMPs, and food safety standards. Documents findings, trains employees, supports production, and maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Major Functional Responsibilities:
  • Perform quality inspections of facility, machinery, products, etc. including observing production processes to ensure all procedures, policies, and GMP's are being followed accurately
  • Perform inspections of finished orders prior to shipment
  • Documents QA & QC inspections, procedures, etc. accordingly
  • Train employees on production procedures, policies, safety and GMP's
  • Assist in production line & process as needed
  • Supports & communicates with management daily
  • Adhere to all company SOPs, GMPs, HACCP, SQF procedures and work consistently with all food safety, quality and sanitation requirements
  • Perform all other duties as assigned that are necessary, required or directed by management.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area throughout the facility and common areas.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards
  • Schedule: Mon thru Thurs, 7:30am until finished (approx. 4:30pm); Fridays 7:30am until finished (approx. 2:00pm); Occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications:

Required Education: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
Work Experience:
1 - 3 Years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications:
• Ability to perform repeated tasks with attention to detail.
• Willing to perform all tasks when and where assigned and as changing situations arise.
• Ability to read and write proficiently
• Maintain professional, energetic, positive attitude and good work ethics.
• Detailed oriented.

Preferred qualifications:

• Familiarity or experience in SQF facility preferred
• Experience in HACCP
• 1-2 years in food manufacturing, preferably in 'ready to eat'
• 3-5 years leadership experience
• Experience in team training on procedures/protocols advantageous
