We are seeking a Router to join our Transportation team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our customers receive outstanding service while maintaining safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery routes. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, comfortable working with technology, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where every decision impacts operations.

What You'll Do

As a Router, you will:

  • Create and optimize daily delivery routes for drivers and customers
  • Analyze route efficiency, delivery times, mileage, and service requirements
  • Utilize routing software and transportation systems to build and maintain route plans
  • Ensure routes comply with DOT regulations and company safety standards
  • Maintain accurate customer delivery information, time windows, service requirements, and route data
  • Generate route reports, manifests, maps, and driver instructions
  • Review prior-day routing performance and make adjustments to improve efficiency
  • Partner with Transportation, Warehouse, Customer Service, Sales, and Drivers to resolve routing and service challenges
  • Support key performance metrics related to cost, service, productivity, and safety

The schedule is Sunday - Thursday, with rotating Fridays. Late morning/early afternoon start through finish for the day, usually 8 or 9 hours. This is an in-office position in Augusta, Maine.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED
1-3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, distribution, routing, or a related field
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
This is an in-office position in Augusta, Maine

Preferred qualifications:

3-5 years of transportation routing or logistics experience
Experience with routing software such as Roadnet or similar transportation management systems
Advanced Excel and reporting skills
