Position Summary
The Supplier Relationship Manager supports our purchasing team with forecasting and various reporting analytics. We are looking for someone to develop strong interpersonal relationships in an environment that requires both strong teamwork, and the ability to work independently.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Act as a frontline relationship manager between Vistar and a strategic supplier partner.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between a strategic supplier partner and Vistar, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Improve redistributor fill rate through accurate demand planning and other mechanisms.
  • Monitor and improve dock efficiencies including layer/pallet purchasing to reduce dock time and maximize efficiency earnings.
  • Measure supplier performance, including supplier score-carding and regularly scheduled supplier reviews.
  • Assist with collecting required price change notification documentation.
  • Monitor the performance of a strategic suppler partner, providing feedback and implementing improvements as needed.
  • Coordinate with the purchasing team to ensure that inventory levels are aligned with demand forecasts and supplier capabilities.
  • Assist the procurement team with reporting and analysis.
  • Develop and implement inventory process improvements to optimize performance and reduce overall inventory risk.
  • Generate regular reporting to provide insights into inventory performance, trends and provide business analytics to assist with sourcing decisions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain/closely related, or equivalent experience
Required Experience: 1 - 3 Years
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel

Preferred qualifications:

Preferred Experience: 3 - 5 Years
• 2 -4 years of experience in purchasing and inventory analysis/reporting or related area
