Position Details:
Location: 100 West End Rd, Hanover Township, PA 18706
Schedule & Hours
  • Schedule: Sunday - Thursday
  • Shift: Overnight
  • Hours: 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Compensation
  • $60,000 - $70,000 annually (non‑CDL)
  • $70,000 - $80,000 annually (with valid CDL‑A)
  • Bonus potential available
Position Summary:
As the Transportation Supervisor Nights (3rd Shift), you will oversee day‑to‑day dispatch and delivery operations to ensure safe, efficient, and on‑time route execution for the OpCo. This role leads and supports drivers, coordinates closely with warehouse teams, and ensures all routes are properly prepared and compliant with DOT and company regulations. You will monitor fleet performance, make real‑time operational decisions, adapt quickly to changing business needs, and maintain clear communication across teams.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Oversee route loading and dock activities to ensure drivers are set up for success and all loading procedures are followed accurately and safely
  • Ensure drivers complete required pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections in compliance with company safety standards and DOT regulations
  • Verify all drivers are properly logged into assigned routes, ELDs, and required systems prior to dispatch
  • Monitor dispatch and delivery operations, proactively identifying and communicating delays, breakdowns, or service disruptions to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Identify, report, and escalate equipment or vehicle issues to appropriate support teams
  • Ensure driver compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations prior to dispatch and throughout the shift
  • Make real‑time schedule adjustments, reassign routes, and manage staffing changes due to call‑offs or operational challenges
  • Ensure all required cargo and delivery documentation is accurate, prepared, and available for drivers prior to arrival and departure
  • Partner closely with warehouse and operations teams to maintain smooth workflow, on‑time departures, and efficient route execution
  • Provide day‑to‑day supervision, guidance, and support to drivers, reinforcing safety, compliance, and performance expectations
  • Assist with coaching, corrective action, and documentation as needed to support driver development and adherence to company policies
  • Monitor operational performance and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance transportation efficiency and service quality.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• Must have at least 2 years transportation supervisory or related experience including knowledge of DOT and safety regulations, along with experience in operation of computerized fleet management systems.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Solid understanding of transportation and logistics operations
• Ability to think critically and make decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to safety, compliance, and high-quality customer service

Preferred qualifications:

• Associates/2-year technical - Business management, logistics or related area.
• At least 4 years transportation supervisory experience including knowledge of DOT and safety regulations, along with experience in operation of computerized fleet management systems within foodservice industry.
• Experience in Routing a plus
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) a plus
